I can barely put into words how incredible this trip has been for our family. Before we even checked in the general manager let us know he would be available if we needed him for anything, which I appreciated! Then the moment we checked in the hospitality was unmatched. We appreciate this hotel so much! We look forward to staying here on our future adventures! Thank you Best Western Carlsbad!

I booked 2 rooms for 1 night here and was pleasantly surprised. I've stayed at all the hotels there in that area and for price, comfort and the breakfast I think this was the best choice. I had Itzel behind the counter who had great customer service help me out. For what I needed the rooms for this trip it was perfect. The beds were comfortable, room had coffee, fridge, microwave, 2 t.v's , a couch , extra seating with tables. Didn't use the spa and pool but it looked clean and everyone having fun. I'll book here next time!

We loved our stay! When we arrived we were greeted at the front desk by Sergio and he checked us in and answered all our questions and also very friendly. We asked about the included breakfast and another guy named Shaun described the breakfast to us. So the room was amazing, we had one with living room, full kitchen and bedroom separated. The beds were super comfy too! The breakfast was great, eggs, sausage, oatmeal and yogurt. Highly recommend for a quiet and enjoyable stay.

Wow, for the price and location we were absolutely stunned and satisfied with our stay. The supposed new general manager is doing something right! Despite staying on a holiday, this was the most affordable and best bang for our buck which included a very delicious free breakfast from 7-10. The room came with Youtube and Netflix on the TV and there’s also a pool & jacuzzi. Our room was right next to the freeway which could be a problem for some people but wasn’t really for us. Staff was very kind and the property is very clean. I don’t think the photos on Google serve it justice either because it’s generally a very beautiful property near others. This is definitely the place you’d want to take your family for a vacation to anything within 50 miles. I’m definitely coming back!

Patrick was extremely helpful and accommodating. He went above and beyond to make sure I had the best stay and that I was very comfortable being here. This is my first vacation with my dog alone that I planned myself so it was a bit daunting. Patrick put me at ease. The service here is great. They also text you every night to make sure you’re okay. I’ve never had such an experience before. Itzel was also great he made sure I always got my packages! Even the guests were great and sweet It made me want to move here The breakfast was also amazing, I usually don’t eat breakfast at hotels because it’s not always good But this place surprised me!!!! The best potatoes and a wide variety of food at the buffet everyday hot and fresh I looked forward to my mornings Thank you very much !!!

A most excellent place to stay. Very clean and comfortable stylishly appointed suites with full kitchens, sans stove, excellent bed and bedding, couch, dining table and chairs, separate bedroom with 2 flatscreen tv in unit. Very nice pool and hot tub area with tropical landscaping. Awesome staff providing excellent customer care. Laundry facilities on site. Easy freeway access to all points in Southern California. I did my booking through orbitz. I opted to pay at location. Janet - the mgr - charged my card for one of the nights anyway even though i said pay at location. So when i arrived at the hotel i was prepared to pay the difference. Janet insisted i pay the full amount insisting what she charged without my authorization was just a hold. So room was $284 which i was suppose to pay AT LOCATION - you take $88 from a non authorized charge and still want to charge the $284? Making the room almost $400 for 3 days? And then justify it with attitude? So orbitz spoke with the hotel to cancel everything and i called my bank and they agreed what was done was a fraudulent charge. It is a shame because i have stayed at that hotel before and enjoyed .y stay with no issues. But now Janet has new policies and one is ripping off the customers then getting attitude about it. I was prepared to pay the difference which is fair i think but no. She wanted the full amount after already charging my account. Oh and her excuse for charging my account - according to what she told orbitz - was to make sure i had the funds in my account. Well is the room is $284 and i have $300 in my account and you charge $88 on my account without my authorization do i still have the money in my account? Common sense right? However not to the manager Janet. So we went to best western and stayed 3 days there. Free breakfast great service etc. This days inn will no longer be a place where i will plan to stay.

My husband and I have been using this hotel for the last year and a half. We use Hotels.com and we also have the Best Western app and we are members. I want to acknowledge Sean. He was very helpful handling my refund, And explain explaining the best way possible for me to rebook for another date. Every time that we have stayed, we’ve always been very satisfied with the rooms, the service and the check-in as well as all the staff. This is definitely our go to hotel and I appreciate every single staff member that works here.

Room smelled like a mixture of bleach, tobacco and marijuana. Sofa was hard as a rock plus makes you sit perfectly vertical. The kitchen is typical, but there’s no cookware, dinnerware, or utensils deeming the kitchen useless. The bed is also hard as a rock, and the pillows are pancakes. I woke up after 4 hours of sleep with back pain. The doors don’t shut properly, and the bath fan is super loud. I originally booked 4 nights but checked out after 1. Never again will I go to this hotel.

Let's start with the pros: Noisy but expected with highway Good location, safe Clean Pool ok Staff was helpful The soap/lotion/shampoo/conditioner were nice. Now the cons: HORRIBLE and I mean HORRIBLE mildew/musty smell. My whole family coughed all night the first night. The second night we turned off the AC unit, which we think was the main cause and kept the window open. A lot less coughing but noisy. If you're sensitive to smells or have lung problems, you shouldn't stay here. We switched rooms with no change in the smell. The hot tub bleached my son's swim shoes. So glad he didn't get in fully. I put my feet in and my skin burned instantly. The pool didn't do that, but it was chilly. Very limited towels. I thought the room wasn't cleaned and the staff said there was 2 sets but we needed 3. I guess I have been spoiled with having extra towels. Also, no shower mat. Had to use one of my precious towels so we wouldn't slip. The body wash holder did not have a bottle in it. I was told they don't have any more body wash and we were given given bars. When we changed rooms, the new room had body soap. The smoker detector light is very bright, lights up room up the whole room. Kinda annoying. No way to darker it. Recommend a sleep mask if you're sensitive. Bathroom light automatically turns on fan, so no way to be quiet when using the bathroom. The carpet always felt damp, so I wouldn't take off my sandales. Needs maintenance- peeling paint, loose light fixtures, peeling stucco, cracked ceiling. Our windows screen wasn't only ripped but the frame was bent and broken. Tv remote was broken. You couldn't adjust the volume. Breakfast is more of a continental styles with only powdered eggs and potatoes. Room size was smaller than expected. We travel a lot. I've been to hotels in jungles that didn't smell this bad. My husband is a diamond member. This hotel will definitely be crossed off our list for the future. It seems like an owner problem, since the staff were very accommodating. They must get complaints regularly.
