Best hotel for kids! Affordable prices, free breakfast and Legoland just around the corner!!!! Rooms are spacious & clean with plenty of beds for a big family. Our kids are age 1,4,9 & 12 & all were happy here. Friendly staff recommended Eureka for dinner which was only 2 miles away, very lively, had delicious food, and a kids play area directly beside our table! Definitely recommend if you were traveling with kids! We will be spending some nights at Legoland hotel, but this is a great landing spot to save some money.

The rooms are nice but small which was expected. The staff was very friendly and kind. The complimentary breakfast was the big win and part of why we stayed here! Good yummy options and plenty of coffee!

Aside from *immediately* hitting me up for “parking fees” that were never indicated on the Marriott website…as soon as I walked in. Aside from COLD showers every morning… Aside from the rank and malfunctioning laundry machines… Aside from 50 screaming kids at any given moment… Aside from terrible coffee… Aside from a kids breakfast labeled erroneously “continental”… Aside from getting sick of it and trying to check out, only to get attitude and a decision by the staff to charge me an extra day… It wasn’t my worst hotel stay, just my woe Marriott stay. And I only found someone else’s pubic hair on my bed the day I left! So definitely not the worst in the country.

Overall, 3 1/2 stars. Front desk staff were friendly. Staff proving quick service when providing extra towels to the room. The free breakfast is a pleasant amenity to our stay. We enjoyed the fresh waffles, hot scrambled eggs & sausage. Hotel served coffee & hot water with hot chocolate or tea packets in the lobby all day. Enjoyed the heated pool on the morning of our departure date (4/1/2026). We unfortunately had to deduct the stars for our room experience. We experience loud ticking/clicking sounds from the inside the bathroom during the middle of night which woke one of the kids and spouse up. If anything, perhaps avoid room 214. Unsure if it's because of the location at the hotel, it appeared from the main parking lot the room was above the boiler room. Also, note there is a $14 parking fee per night. Overall, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was pleasantly close to Legoland and quiet at night off the busy Palomar Airport Road. Definitely would recommend if able to address the room noise and parking did not have a nightly fee.

Stayed for work on 02/17. This is an OK hotel, but had a few issues especially for the price. The WiFi is finicky and only an absurd 6MB speed in my room, making it difficult to work. The Gym is TINY. Only one treadmill, and it was constantly in use so I couldn’t work out as planned. The parking pass and additional fee is unnecessary as there is plenty of space around. A/C was louder than normal and not very accurate to the set temperature. Breakfast was great however, and the rooms very clean. It was also very quiet and nice to not be next to a freeway for once hearing traffic all night. 3/5, but would not stay again.

This has been our “go to” hotel when we are in Carlsbad. The staff is great, the rooms are nice and comfy and the free breakfast has tons of options. We got a room with a sofa which was so worth it. We had two TVs both with streaming service options. It’s close to the Carlsbad Outlet Mall as well as Legoland. It’s great for couples or a family. The area is nice and safe with plenty of parking. There is also a pool and a gym. The place is landscaped beautifully and it’s got quick and easy access to the 5 freeway.

Horrible experience with my family . Great location but quite frankly a motel 6 type hotel . I am extremely displeased but I don't discourage others from going people will go regardless but we personally will never step foot into their property unless it's to use the urinal . Horrible experience for us maybe differs for you but you get what you pay for . Parking lot is a homeless camp essentially .white van middle aged gentleman and his dog. Also coyotes roaming the premises. Dan was right about the wifi (someone named Dan left a review) the experience quite frankly just sucked and I'm upset that my family paid over 180 night I don't want a refund I want our time back LOL

Fairfield by Marriott Inn in Carlsbad is in very close proximity to Legoland California Resort in Carlsbad California. It's is clean, quiet and comfortable, and offers a free breakfast buffet with waffle station + toppings, oatmeal station + toppings, toast/bagel/English muffin station, cold cereal, and scrambled eggs + sausage/bacon.

The WiFi didn’t work. Front desk clerk couldn’t help. Called the 800 # and they didn’t help. I went to the desk to check out, and the manager came out and gave me an alternate URL to get my iPhone online. He said their WiFi vendor changed the service a couple of months ago and they were evaluating costs to upgrade their equipment to make it work. So were guests having the same problems for months while this (franchise vendor I am assuming) was being cheap? The rest of the hotel seemed tired to me. Breakfast was mediocre, crowded and noisy. The room was ok at best. And staff seemed not to be trained. I have stayed at this hotel a number of times before, but they are definitely off my list going forward.

Friendly staff and quiet and comfortable rooms. Spacious and clean! Complimentary breakfast has good variety and food is fresh! This hotel is tucked just off the main road, making it centrally located, but much quieter! Wish the weather had been nicer to enjoy the pool, but still enjoyed our stay here!
