The place was close to everything - beach , legoland , food . And lovely location - even if you don’t plan on going anywhere and just staying in the hotel - this place is really beautiful - surrounded by lovely mountains and quiet . Their breakfast options are very good - and there is ample space for everyone - no struggling to find a seat to sit and eat . They are kid friendly . They also have booths with TV. The sausage patties and egg bites were a hit.

Stayed two nights while we visited Legoland. Hotel was just okay. I expected better for $330 a night. The pull out couch in room 222 was the noisiest and creakiest thing ever. Every time my kid turned over it woke us up. Also, $14 a night for parking is a rip off when they’re not even offering a secure lot. What am I paying for?

Bad experience. The room was pretty dirty with stains all over the floor. It looks like the elevator and hallways have never been vacuumed or cleaned. The front desk was not helpful at all as the people above us were so loud the walls were shaking past 1030pm. It could be heard on the first floor and they were on the third. They seemed annoyed that we weren’t ok with the noise. I stay at Marriott’s all over and have been a lifetime gold member for a while…. I would never stay here again and recommend you avoid.

Traveling with 3 grandchildren isn’t easy and we were towards the last night of our 5 day vacation in San Diego we called the front desk just to check if it was a slight possibility to check in early, the receptionist said to call back in an hour then I asked if our family could just go and hangout by the pool until check in at 3 pm she said sure no problem. So when we arrived she was at the front desk she recalled our conversation and said I’m just going to check you in it was 1:45 pm! I was so grateful because once again it tough traveling with kids, so we went to our room she remembered I had requested a room next to an elevator and that’s exactly what we got. The pool area was clean they had pool towels ready for families they had cold water and tea. Activities for families outside corn hole we had a great time. The recommended pizza restaurant who delivered to the hotel was great we enjoyed the large table in front of the big screen tv they are so many places to sit in the lobby with tvs so you don’t have to eat in your room outside the fire pit area was very nice. The breakfast was awesome what I really appreciate was they weren’t struggling to keep up the demand of guests wanting breakfast I saw 1 lady refilling replenishing eggs and beacon they had more than 1 large container of coffee they completely know how to manage their free breakfast! Nothing ran out we enjoyed a tv where we were sitting. Also at 9 am they still allowed late guests to eat. The laundry room was clean and the front desk again were extremely helpful providing quarters for us we absolutely will stay here again also thank you Tomasa for the bottles of water and the spotless room you prepared for us!

Best hotel for kids! Affordable prices, free breakfast and Legoland just around the corner!!!! Rooms are spacious & clean with plenty of beds for a big family. Our kids are age 1,4,9 & 12 & all were happy here. Friendly staff recommended Eureka for dinner which was only 2 miles away, very lively, had delicious food, and a kids play area directly beside our table! Definitely recommend if you were traveling with kids! We will be spending some nights at Legoland hotel, but this is a great landing spot to save some money.

The rooms are nice but small which was expected. The staff was very friendly and kind. The complimentary breakfast was the big win and part of why we stayed here! Good yummy options and plenty of coffee!

Aside from *immediately* hitting me up for “parking fees” that were never indicated on the Marriott website…as soon as I walked in. Aside from COLD showers every morning… Aside from the rank and malfunctioning laundry machines… Aside from 50 screaming kids at any given moment… Aside from terrible coffee… Aside from a kids breakfast labeled erroneously “continental”… Aside from getting sick of it and trying to check out, only to get attitude and a decision by the staff to charge me an extra day… It wasn’t my worst hotel stay, just my woe Marriott stay. And I only found someone else’s pubic hair on my bed the day I left! So definitely not the worst in the country.

Overall, 3 1/2 stars. Front desk staff were friendly. Staff proving quick service when providing extra towels to the room. The free breakfast is a pleasant amenity to our stay. We enjoyed the fresh waffles, hot scrambled eggs & sausage. Hotel served coffee & hot water with hot chocolate or tea packets in the lobby all day. Enjoyed the heated pool on the morning of our departure date (4/1/2026). We unfortunately had to deduct the stars for our room experience. We experience loud ticking/clicking sounds from the inside the bathroom during the middle of night which woke one of the kids and spouse up. If anything, perhaps avoid room 214. Unsure if it's because of the location at the hotel, it appeared from the main parking lot the room was above the boiler room. Also, note there is a $14 parking fee per night. Overall, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was pleasantly close to Legoland and quiet at night off the busy Palomar Airport Road. Definitely would recommend if able to address the room noise and parking did not have a nightly fee.

Stayed for work on 02/17. This is an OK hotel, but had a few issues especially for the price. The WiFi is finicky and only an absurd 6MB speed in my room, making it difficult to work. The Gym is TINY. Only one treadmill, and it was constantly in use so I couldn’t work out as planned. The parking pass and additional fee is unnecessary as there is plenty of space around. A/C was louder than normal and not very accurate to the set temperature. Breakfast was great however, and the rooms very clean. It was also very quiet and nice to not be next to a freeway for once hearing traffic all night. 3/5, but would not stay again.

This has been our “go to” hotel when we are in Carlsbad. The staff is great, the rooms are nice and comfy and the free breakfast has tons of options. We got a room with a sofa which was so worth it. We had two TVs both with streaming service options. It’s close to the Carlsbad Outlet Mall as well as Legoland. It’s great for couples or a family. The area is nice and safe with plenty of parking. There is also a pool and a gym. The place is landscaped beautifully and it’s got quick and easy access to the 5 freeway.
