Very nice resort. Haley at the front check-in made our visit exceptional. She was welcoming, knowledgeable and efficient. We had a bad experience with a previous visit with the room and restaurant but Haley showed us extra care this time. Lunch at the view was great but recommend more vegetarian options. We will definitely be back! Thanks !

Amazing experience! I was luckily enough to enjoy the luxury and beauty of this resort and all of the experiences that came with it on a company work trip. From start to finish everything about this trip and stay at this resort more than met my expectations. Everything from the beautiful grounds and gorgeous upkeep of the resort, to the helpful and accommodating Omni staff - supporting our company with our work events and great service overall, to the shopping and dining and guest amenities, my experience couldn’t be more great! Our company is grateful to the Omni staff for everything that was put in to making our experience as amazing as it was. Everything from the table set ups and preparation, to the happy hour gatherings to our mandatory dinner and delicious buffet set up! I couldn’t be more happy with staying at this resort and the experience I had. This will be a trip and experience I never forget!

The only reason this is not 5 stars: the suites are just OK. We stayed in a 1-bedroom suite (room 866). The bedroom is separated from the sofa area by louvered sliding door- why!? For those of us with kids, this is no good. The bathroom is also separated from the bedroom by another louvered sliding window-door. Again, for a bedroom suite, not sure why this is there; especially as this resort has a lot of families and there is not much need for this "romantic"-style approach. It also lets out a lot of light from the bathroom, which disturbs anyone in the bedroom still sleeping. The shower never got past warm. And the suite itself had some significant water damage on the doors and door jambs. Finally, the self-parking is far from the suites. Those are my complaints. Now the good: the rest. The food is good here; the kids club is good; the pools are good; the service is outstanding; basically, the amenities and service are 5-star (caveat: I did not golf, or use the locker rooms or fitness room). Thus, despite the shortcomings of the suite, the rest of the resort significantly made up for this (the villas may change my mind if we come back).

Absolutely amazing experience! A huge shoutout to Tanner in management—he is incredibly smart and communicative. He helped us navigate some parking difficulties with ease and expert problem-solving. The service here is top-tier across the board. Angel in customer service was wonderful, Jacob in parking was so helpful, and the bellman team—Terry, Allan, and Mike—were all fantastic. They’ve made our family stay beautiful and stress-free. We are already looking forward to coming back next year. Highly recommended!"

It is one of the best Omni experiences we enjoyed after Mount Washington, NH and Bedford, PA. The resort was exceptionally beautiful and well kept and alive near the center plaza. We got a nice room overlooking it with plenty of space for our family. People were exceptionally nice - whether it was bar traza folks on when we went to order for kids, got stuck at the parking when hotel key said invalid property or the person who held the pool door open for us or the house keeping lady running to proactively ask me whether we need cleaning when we were opening the door or nice front desk young lady who found my watch, so many nice people, may be it is a Carlsbad thing! Christmas experience was great with a big tree in plaza and thanks for special gifts in Santa socks. Pools are great and has hot tub and kids' slides and water play area as nice bonus. Thank you all for a great experience and keep it up!

This resort is top notch. It is huge but spread out to give a quaint feeling. It's got several pools and spas. It has water slides for the kiddos. That pool is off to the side so you would never hear or see the kids if you're here for an adult getaway. The golf course is stunning. The shops have a small town vibe. The rooms are spacious. It's by far the best place I've stayed.

We recently stayed at the Omni La Costa for a week over thanksgiving. The grounds are beautiful … immaculately landscaped, festive holiday decor and hardworking grounds staff. However the overall experience fell short for a resort at this price point. At check in we were given no information about the property, activities, or even what was near our room. Throughout our stay, every call had to go through the front desk, which made simple things like reaching in room dining, housekeeping, or the tennis shop surprisingly inconvenient. Even as guests, we were charged ($35) to reserve tennis courts, and they filled quickly. The room and facilities also felt neglected: previous guest writing left on the notepad, black marks on a towel, tiny trash cans, visible cutouts in the bathroom, an off center headboard, sand in the jacuzzi, and even a rusty screw in the pool. I’m not sure if this resort is claiming to be environmentally conscious, but it definitely is not. There were no refillable water stations, just deliveries of small plastic water bottles, which felt incredibly wasteful. Add in $40 day self parking and a $45 day resort charge that was never explained, and it’s hard to justify the cost. Despite the gorgeous grounds, the service gaps and numerous small issues made the stay more disappointing than relaxing.

So everything was generally fine. Great spa. Apparently great for golfing (didn’t golf). However, the billing at the end absolutely made no sense. We pre-bought credits and it convoluted the bill. We tried twice for someone to explain the bill in person and it still makes zero sense. We ended up paying way more than we estimated. We cannot come here again nor recommend this place with these types of business practices!

Absolutely STUNNING. The rooms are nice but the property is truly special. It is in a nice quiet area of Carlsbad. Great golf courses near by. The amenities are great. It is a great place to come vacation or do a staycation like myself. You will need a car if you want to get around or go to the beach but you don't really need to leave the resort.

We had a fantastic stay at Omni La Costa. The property is beautiful, the staff was welcoming, and our suite was clean and comfortable. Loved the pools, spa, and dining options. Perfect mix of relaxation and fun—can’t wait to come back for golf next time we’re in the area!
