Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at should be a 1 star hotel. I would compare this hotel to a motel 6. Room appear to have been cleaned when I went to put waters in the fridge left over food was left in the fridge. Room had a smell. No warm water in the morning only at night. Asked for more towels since I was going to the pool and taking a shower after I was told I could only get a few since they were short and short handed never got towels until I called at midnight and the lady who just came came in kindly walked them over. No handicap rooms were available. Elevator were run down and need work. Breakfast wasn’t good. Wouldn’t recommend nor stay again. Stayed for a weekend over $600 I think I would have rather led payed the extra and stayed at holiday inn up the street. Do better. One lamp didn’t work and the outlet in the bathroom sink area didn’t work.

The only good thing about this location was that it was fairly close to Legoland. Unfortunately, that did not help with me and my family's experience because we had to leave early from this location because we discovered roaches. We really tried to make the best of this location, however the very first thing we noticed was animal feces in the parking lot. We decided to keep going and stay. The rooms were a little run down and dated, but we aren't too picky. It was decent enough. We did also notice that there was quite a significant gap in our hotel room door and the floor. We were a little concerned but decided to stay. However, what we discovered next, we could not ignore. I saw a roach on the lamp shade. That was enough. My husband immediately went to the front desk to check out early. This was at around 4am in the morning only around 12 hours into our stay. My husband showed the front desk the picture of the roach, and he said he would let the manager know. While he was with the front desk I discovered another roach in the bathroom. We had to check out and drive 2hrs home and then come back because we still needed to go to LEGOLAND. After trying to resolve this issue the Hotel only refunded us for the one-night stay, even after requesting to get the full reimbursement. We tried, but all in all this was not a good stay unfortunately. Hopefully they have improved their health standards especially since they do also serve food on their property.

For starters I didn’t have to stay here there were options but yes I chose the “cheaper chicken” because we went to Lego land and I wanted to stay some place slightly cheaper then their hotels as we have stayed in the before. They were great just wanted cheaper so we didn’t have to drive home exhausted with 2 littles! First.. booking was great and easy. However, when we got there after spending the day at legoland for my daughter’s birthday it was gross. I had blue socks on (forgot my slippers so I walked in my socks) bottom of my socks were BLACK by the next morning just from walking to and from the bathroom in the middle of the night and tucking my kids In. I have a 1 year old. I didn’t feel comfortable even letting my child die on the floor. The pull out mattress from the couch was sooo stained and so nasty..the walls had holes in them. Paint chipping on a lot of it. A huge spider in the bathroom I had to kill. The shower was NASTY! There was NO body wash. We had to use shampoo for body wash (mind you we spent all day in the sun) gross. I couldn’t let me son down in the shower I had to hold the baby while I washed him because it was so gross. Somebody tried to open our door in the am at 5 when I was trying to keep my son quiet while family was still sleeping. It was just over all extremely dirty, elevator sounded like it was going to break down it climbed annd clinked so loud my daughter (annd myself) were uncomfortable and I could never stay here again. Also just some food for thought there were NO places around to grab a quick bite to eat should have gotten something BEFORE heading to the room.

I had a great stay. Even though I was near the highway, having the window closed made it quiet in my room. The bed was very comfortable. I absolutely loved the water pressure in my shower. Breakfast was so so. Staff was very nice and I would definitely stay again.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE Traveling with a disabled wife in wheelchair. Requested a bottom floor room. Prior to even booking was told not a problem. Was told to call back after making the reservation and they would attach my name to a bottom floor room for the several day stay. When I called back was treated very rude any nasty by another all together individual who said they couldn't promise a bottom floor room for a disabled individual.. LONG STORY SHORT TAKING MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE AND WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. The hotel down the road found me a room on the bottom floor with absolutely zero issue in 25 seconds.. Terrible service at this hotel anymore.. Very disappointing as a regular frequent guest here.. NEVER AGAIN GO ELSEWHERE PEOPLE..

Let me start off by saying we have choices, i gave this inn a chance and i didnt even get to desk before i realized customer service is really bad, no greet no direction, representative was on the phone and completely ignore me. Yes your busy and you should be happy about that not mad. But no worry like i said we have choices, there is other inns that would do better for less. For future reference a front desk representative can really affect your booking rate. Have a great day fellow travelers.

We stayed at La Quinta during the Carlsbad Marathon weekend. Overall, the hotel was acceptable, but several issues affected our experience. Check-in did not meet expectations, as there were no door keys available upon arrival, which resulted in an unnecessary wait. Additionally, the front desk staff did not seem particularly welcoming or friendly, which made the check-in process feel less pleasant than expected. I had booked a rate that included breakfast; however, after noticing mold on the bagels, we chose not to eat there. The room itself appeared clean at first glance, but there was visible mold in the bathroom and a persistent unpleasant odor throughout the room, which was disappointing. Given the overall experience, I would only consider staying here again if no other accommodations were available.

Absolute 0 for service. We have had to change our key cards 2-3 times a day because they stop working to open the room. Well I went to the pool with my sons with my key card and phone, but had to go back to the room to change my son and of course my key wasn’t working so I went to the front to get a new one (which I had done once already today) and she said only the person with a reservation and an ID can change key cards. When I changed them out this morning they did NOT require that. So I had to call my mom, who was in the middle of a meeting, and she had to call the hotel to allow me to get back in my room. Absolute garbage. My sons are 2 and 5 and we had to wait in the lobby cold and wet to get back in our room. Ultimately they need to fix the doors/key card entry. But very bad taste in my mouth from the Medusa pierced front receptionist.

This is my go-to hotel whenever I stay in the Carlsbad or Oceanside area. This is our 3rd or 4th stay here with my family. First, the value is incredible. We always have a lot to do when we get here, and we just need a place to sleep. This time we sprung for the suite at $20 more and it was worth every single penny. My kids were expecting the double queen and when they saw the bunk beds they were thrilled! Breakfast is included, and it's standard to better than the average continental breakfast. My family always goes for the waffles, and the daily rotation of sausage patties, bacon, and sausage links keeps my kids happy. Note: this is 5 stars across the board for my needs and my family. If you're sensitive to noise you may want to see how it sounds before committing, as it is close to the freeway and road noise is audible.

We had a great stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Carlsbad – Legoland Area. The location was very convenient, especially being so close to Legoland. Breakfast was included in the room rate and parking was free, which made things even easier. The receptionist was very nice and friendly — she gave us a few room options to choose from, which we really appreciated. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay!
