Right off the freeway. Very convenient. However, there is traffic noise due to close proximity of freeway. I’d left the closet and bathroom doors opened to block the constant noise. Noise is reduced, but sounded like howling constant wind. I had a double queen. It’s spacious and clean. Looks like recently renovated. A small frig and table with 2 chairs. No breakfast though. It’s coffee, tea, and pastries. That’s not breakfast.

I checked into this hotel and within minutes felt like I had been cast as the lead character in a low-budget horror movie. Almost immediately, we found multiple spiders in the room. Not one spider. Not two spiders. Multiple spiders. At that point, I was already questioning my life choices, but then things somehow got worse. After taking a shower, I reached for a supposedly clean towel and discovered it was covered in someone else's hair. Not a stray hair. Not one random strand. Enough hair to make me wonder if I had accidentally grabbed the previous guest instead of a fresh towel. At that point, I wasn't sure whether I was staying in a hotel room or participating in a forensic investigation. Finding a spider can happen. Finding multiple spiders and then discovering your "clean" towel appears to have come straight from the community towel pile is another level entirely. If the things guests can easily see are being overlooked, it makes you wonder what other surprises are lurking in places you haven't checked yet. As if the spiders and mystery-hair towel weren't enough, the hotel sits directly on a busy main road, making traffic noise the unofficial soundtrack of our stay. Then, at 7:00 AM sharp, construction workers arrived outside our window and chose violence. Nothing wakes you up faster than the sound of concrete being obliterated six feet from your face. We were launched out of bed by industrial-grade demolition noises before the sun had fully committed to being up. I've had gentler wake-up calls from emergency alerts. By checkout, I had experienced arachnids, biological mysteries, traffic noise, and industrial demolition. I paid for a hotel stay and accidentally booked an immersive sensory experience. Zero stars for cleanliness. Zero stars for relaxation. Five stars for keeping me constantly alert and wondering what fresh nightmare would arrive next.

Janet was next to amazing! Everything she said about the room was to the T. Her customer service skills are beyond great. The stay was perfect room was super clean super warm and inviting you can tell they care about their guest! Definitely staying next time im in town

This hotel is only worth choosing if you have absolutely no other options available. The room did not have basic amenities like a coffee machine or a refrigerator, which was disappointing. The breakfast was very limited — only coffee and a small piece of cake — and even the coffee was served cold. The staff at the lobby did not seem welcoming and mostly just watched guests rather than being helpful. Also, be very careful when using your card here. Keep track of your account and charges to make sure you are not billed for anything you did not use.

Although the staff is very nice I do not recommend booking a stay here. Our room phone was broken, couldn’t call out to anyone, not even the front desk. The bathtub plug wasn’t sealing properly to hold the water in so we had to use a wash rag. Their website is highly inaccurate. They do not serve breakfast…they serve pastries, Their outdoor heated pool is not actually heated, and They do not have WiFi for their guests. Just seems like there’s a lot going on here that people don’t have answers to or even care to get an answer for.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Full front desk coverage 24 hours! We never heard that housekeeping will not be open until tomorrow morning! All the staff was nice, they spoke to you all the time! The front desk addressed you by your name and gave us advice on restaurant choices and sightseeing places. There were plenty of parking spaces. The hotel is located in beautiful Carlsbad with a park, a library, downtown Carlsbad and the ??, very nearby! A special shout-out to housekeeper Maria!

LOCATION: Before anyone chooses to stay here, please be aware that this hotel sits on super busy I-5 freeway. It’s very loud. We were lucky to have our room on the backside of the hotel, I can’t imagine how loud freeway-facing rooms are. The hotel is pretty close to the beach, but not really within walking distance, especially to the town. There is a grocery store, gas station, and some restaurants within walking distance. ROOM: Our room itself was ok. Clean with comfortable bed, but it seemed dark and not very cosy. Switching to warm-hued bulbs would really make it seem better. AMENITIES: There is a small pool, but we didn’t use it. Website advertised free breakfast, but there was no breakfast. OTHER: Fire alarm went off twice around 3 am.. nobody said anything about it in the morning when we were checking out? Overall, it was ok for one night. Probably wouldn’t stay again.

It was amazing! Staffing is friendly and accommodating! They helped us with everything and were very nice to our children. Everyone at front desk was amazing specially Janet , the manager.

If you’re looking for a hotel with free breakfast, don’t go here. My boyfriend and I booked this hotel specifically because it said free breakfast. We went downstairs in the morning to find that the “breakfast” is just a small pre packaged chocolate croissant from Costco. The lady at the front desk said they stopped doing free breakfast during covid. That means they’ve been false advertising for 5 years!!!! If we had known, we would have stayed somewhere else. What a scam

Excellent! I’ve been to many hotels in San Diego and this one is my favorite! I admit, I always read hotel reviews to get an idea of the location and what people liked or disliked. My goal is to find: a safe, clean and quiet location to rest, comfortable bed and excellent customer service. Even though this is next to the highway, just ask for rooms on the other side of the building. This hotel met all my needs.
