SHOCK & AWE befits this amazing location and space! My review is VERY late- we were blessed to experience Aviara in December, 2025 for a concrete conference, but I HAD to FINALLY clap it up! ? The rooms are spectacular, yet so cozy & homey ?? The grounds are absolutely GORGEOUS and so much fun to explore. The bars and restaurants are drool worthy. The property bathtubs, showers, pools and hot tubs are nothing short of inspirational, so be sure to pack your inner mermaid! ???? Sadly, I had to have a major surgery 9 days before our arrival, but figured it would be better to convalesce in CA than freeze in SD! However, I STILL dream about being able to partake in all the glorious bathtubs, pools and hot tubs! ? The Aviara staff was FANTASTIC, and I'd love to finally give some long overdue shout outs ?? Victoria was a huge help at the reception desk, including extra blankets and the best smile ? Kellie was the best pool attendant/bartender who brought us the most delicious coconuts to drink! ? Because we were lucky enough to be there for work, there were several Aviara catered events in the 5 nights we stayed, and at every one of them, one of the tasting tray servers, Michael, was an absolute STAR ? ! His service job includes navigating hotel event crowds, presenting and naming different foods on trays, and I hope we all know how challenging that could be. I witnessed him being one of the kindest and most committed individuals at doing his job to the best of his ability on multiple occasions, and I truly hope he hears about this and gets a raise. He truly deserves it! This was my favorite hotel to date! ?? Thank you for the beautiful stay!

This place was phenomenal! Between the rooms, amenities, staff and location it could not get better. Every part of it was 5 star but the staff made it the best. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Huge shoutout to Christian S. at the front desk. He really made our anniversary truly special every day. Went the extra distance for to room surprises, hand written notes and food recommendations.

Great experience Came for memorial weekend with kids (5 and 3 years old). Not only is the hotel very nice, they catered to the kids. The adults only pool was open to all ages this weekend. And they had themed buffet breakfast (with spider man and Elsa characters visit). Also had a bounce house set up one of the days in the hotel Highly recommend for family getaway and 15 min from Carlsbad city. Which has a great downtown for eating etc.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The environment is very beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. It is a great place to rest and enjoy your time. The front desk staff were very gentle, patient, and helpful. She answered all our questions with a smile and made the check-in process smooth and easy. The swimming pool is very large and clean. It was one of my favorite parts of the hotel. We spent a lot of time there and really enjoyed it. The room was comfortable and well maintained, and everything we needed was provided. The whole stay felt easy and pleasant. Overall, we had a very happy experience here. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back again in the future.

I would have to say this is probably one of the best hotels I've been to. We went to two of the restaurants they were both fantastic. The building is great and has a fantastic view of the ocean what's on the backside. They have a couple pools here that are very nice with that said you can walk down a little bit to the 18 and older adult pool that is really nice and has a really great view. Everyone here that we walked by was very nice and very helpful. The views here are absolutely stunning no matter where you're at and the grounds are very well kept. We can't wait until we go back

We had a really lovely stay at this hotel. We were in a pool suite which was very spacious, and had a great view of the pool and the lagoon. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Excellent golf course. Pool slides were fun for the kids. We were celebrating our boys' birthdays, and they delivered treats to our room to make them feel special. We will definitely be back.

Not sure where these rave reviews are coming from and no one is mentioning the gas station gritty toilet paper? Seriously, skimping on TP? This is a 3 star with a nice golf course. Nothing really sets it apart. Service is fine , cleanliness is is fine, the restaurant is fine, nothing stood out as 5 star.

The property was beautiful! All the staff was nice and accommodating, very dog friendly, which we loved. Caleb at the front desk was amazing and so wonderful. Sydney at the pool bar was lovely and so friendly. Food at all restaurants were great, we will definitely stay here again.

There are many positives but unfortunately did not meet the expectations of a hotel that costs $600+ per night. - breakfast buffet has no self service drinks. No water, juice, or coffee. This seems to be common at hyatts. We had to wait like 15 mins for someone just to bring me water. The food offerings were very tasty but minimal. Long waits for seating and food, servers felt overworked and understaffed during Christmas week. - the TVs have no Netflix or streaming options, must use Google cast from phone. - the HVAC air in our room was very dry. After 1 night our sinuses were messed up, coughing and sniffling. - there is no self parking. All must pay $60 per day for valet. This can lead to long wait times trying to get your car in the morning and evening. This also seems common for Hyatt. - both nights people eating on the restaurant patio loudly clinked their forks against their glasses when the golf machine drives by to make the driver honk. Starting in the late afternoon this was heard every 10 mins from inside the rooms with all doors closed, going late into the night. - Being next to Legoland, the hotel is overrun by kids. - the cheapest offering for the spa is $280 for a 30min express facial. There is nothing that can be put on my face worth that much in 30 mins. The spa is pricing out anyone who isn't wealthy or willing to be ripped off. - there are no top sheets under the bed comforters. You sleep directly under the comforter. Most people don't mind but for me it made sleeping very hot and uncomfortable and I was unable to sleep. Again this is a beautifully amazing hotel but at this price point it fell short for me.

The best resort in San Diego! Every staff have been courteous and go out of their way to provide top notch service. From the valet team, to front desk, phone operators, house keeping and restaurant staff we have been treated like special guests. The rooms are extremely spacious, perfectly cleaned, and the bed are luxurious to sleep in. The water bottles, Nepresso, and tea bar with a full size water kettle shows the well appointed details that reminds the guest that this is a five star resort. We enjoyed the adult hot tub and the gorgeous lobby.
